Larned – Katharina Marie Zander, 73, passed away March 8, 2022 at Pawnee Valley Community Hospital, Larned.

She was born September 10, 1948 in Denver, Colorado, the daughter of Walter and Evelyn Greeno Zander. She was later adopted by Edwin G. and Louise E. Rathe Zander.

She was of the Christian faith and enjoyed crocheting and reading. She worked as an LPN and in later years as home health caregiver.

Survivors include: two daughters, Kimberly (David) Jones, Muldrow, Oklahoma, and Kelli (Dennis) DeWitt, McLoud, Oklahoma; two brothers, Joseph Smolenski, and Kevin Zander; a sister, Kim Zander; seven grandchildren; Jordan (Margarita) Bolson, Nickoles Bolson, Daniel DeWitt, Miles DeWitt, Starla Jones, Dalton Jones and Austin Coulter and six great grandchildren; Elijah Bolson, Elena Bolson, Emylin Bolson, Joseph Crawford, Laylonni McWilliams, Austin Coulter Jr. and Hailey Coulter.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Hank Zander and Ervin Zander, and a sister, Shawnee Cowan.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial graveside will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 12, 2022 at the Culbertson Cemetery, Culbertson, Nebraska.
