Obituary

Hanston – Kay Ruth Bowie, 72, passed away April 5, 2021 at Manor of the Plains, Dodge City, KS

She was born November 4, 1948 in Spearville, the daughter of Thomas Carl and Naomi Helen Woodworth Bowie Sr.  A lifetime are resident, she helped at Arrowhead West.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Hanston, participated in the Reach Organization, Night to Shine and delivered Meals on Wheels.

Survivors include: sister-in-law, Deanna Bowie, Dodge City; nephews, Shannon Bowie, Preston Werner; nieces, Wendy Hoss, Kellie Werner, Vickie Rodriguez and Mary Ann Clapp.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Lee Bowie, Thomas Carl Bowie Jr; two sisters, Ann Werner and Helen Bowie.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday, April 9, 2021 at United Methodist Church, Hanston, with Pastor Peter Mtuamwari and Rev. Jeff Hiers presiding. Service will be viewable via facebook live at www.facebook.com/beckwithmortuary. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 8, 2021 at Beckwith Funeral Home, Jetmore.  Burial will be in the Hanston Cemetery, Hanston.

Memorials may be given to Arrowhead West in care of Beckwith Funeral Home, Box 663 Jetmore, KS 67854.
