Larned – Keith D. Prescott, 71, died August 15, 2008 at the Hays Medical Center, Hays, Kansas.

He was born November 1, 1936 at Stafford County, Kansas the son of Lawrence Donaldson and Alpha Lenore Harman Prescott. A lifetime area resident he was a mechanic-service manager at Ark Valley Implement and Chance Cadillac dealership, both of Larned.

He was a member of the Church of Christ, Larned, Senior Companion Program, and served in the Navy from 1954 to 1958.

On October 18, 1959 he married Beverly A. Dirks at the Mennonite Church in Pawnee Rock, Kansas. She survives.

Other survivors include: three sons, Brian Prescott and wife Susanne, Hudson, Michael Prescott and wife Pam, Meriden, Kansas, Faron Prescott and wife Sunshine, Hays; a daughter, Sabra Dupuis and husband Brian, Larned; two brothers, Don Prescott, Larned, Daryl Prescott, Garfield; two sisters, Doneva Sparks, Junction City, Valeta Mantz, Garfield; and ten grandchildren.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Beckwith Mortuary Chapel, Larned, with James Underwood presiding. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday with family present from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. all at the mortuary. Burial will be in the Larned Cemetery, Larned.
