Obituary

Larned- Kenneth LeRoy Welsch Sr. 83, died October 24, 2009 at his home in Larned.

He was born November 26, 1925, in Larned, Kansas, the son of Clarence and Ella Beebe Welsch. A resident of Larned, moving to Temple, Texas, then moving Back to the Kinsley and Larned area. He was a Section Worker for the Missouri Pacific Railroad.

He was a member of the United Methodist Church, American Legion and the VFW, all of Larned. He was a WWII Veteran; his hobbies were fishing, hunting, playing dominos and feeding the squirrels.

He married Martha Hogsett, she passed away January 18, 1970, he then married Virginia Andrews, she passed away, on August 22, 1990 he married Edna Dixon in Belton, she passed away. On March 17, 2000 he married Ruth Robbins at Larned, She survives.

Other survivors include; three sons, Michael James Welsch, Seven Points, Texas, Kenney Welsch, Ozark, Alabama, Jeff Welsch, Temple, Texas; three step-sons, Ron Fox, Seattle, Washington, Rich Fox, Great Bend, Steven Fox, Larned; two daughters, Barbara McCrary, Kansas City, Missouri, Dana Bunting, Hutchinson; two step-daughters, Elaine Musgrove, and Susan Fox, both of Larned; two sisters, Marsella Wampler and Marcenia Sojka, both of Tempe, Arizona; Eleven grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, and numerous step-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Conard Welsch, and Leon Welsch; and two grandchildren.

Funeral will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Beckwith Mortuary Chapel, with the Rev. Bill Fitzgerrel presiding. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at the Mortuary. Burial will be in the Larned Cemetery, with military graveside rites.
