Larned – Kent Arlyn Kirkwood, 63, passed away January 20, 2017, at Pawnee Valley Community Hospital, Larned.
He was born October 1, 1953, in Larned, the son of W. Arlyn and Verna Lea Murphy Kirkwood. A lifetime area resident he was a Farmer/Stockman.
He was a former Pawnee County Coop board member and a Walnut Township board member.
On August 14, 1976 in Larned, KS he married Laura Stueckemann. She survives.
Survivors include: two sons Levi Kirkwood, Afton, OK. and Ross Kirkwood (Kelly Stenzel), Larned, KS.; one daughter Tasha Kirkwood Starr (Scott Honey), Fairland, OK.; one sister, Jill (Carl) Johnson, Tulsa, OK.; six grandchildren, Tristen Kirkwood, Brooke Tudor, Lane Tudor, Taryn Kirkwood, Trey Kirkwood and Jesse Starr.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Larned Cemetery with Bob Rein presiding. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at Beckwith Mortuary, Larned.
Memorials may be given to the Pawnee County 4-H Shooting Sports in care of Beckwith Mortuary, PO Box 477, Larned, KS. 67550. Condolences may be left for the family at www.beckwithmortuary.com
