Kim Annette
Woelk
February 26, 1959 – January 3, 2024
The world bid farewell to a remarkable soul on January 3, 2024, as Kim Annette Woelk peacefully passed away at her home in Rozel at the age of 64. Born on February 26, 1959, she was the cherished daughter of John and Frances Wells Woelk.
Kim's legacy is intricately woven with the vibrant threads of her life. A proud alumna of Pawnee Heights High School, she left an indelible mark in track and field, holding records to this day. As a member of Pawnee County 4-H and Grace Lutheran Church in Larned, Kim's community spirit shone brightly.
After college, Kim's journey led her to California, where she met her love, Jon Blakely. Together, they ventured into entrepreneurial endeavors, from a detail shop to selling sandwiches out of her trunk. Later, in Texas, she cultivated her cherished passion for gardening at Callaway Nursery, earning her the reputation of having the greenest thumb.
A devoted Republican and page for Bob Dole, Kim's unwavering spirit extended to her love for Fox News. Yet, her true joy lay in caring for her parents and spending quality time with family, including her beloved son Jon Myles Woelk Blakely, daughter Allison Sue Woelk Myrick and her husband Bradley, as well as her affection for cats and dogs.
Kim found joy in the simple pleasures of life, from puzzles and crosswords to movies and baking. Her talents extended to the garden and decorating cakes. A pure and kind-hearted soul, Kim radiated encouragement and love to all fortunate enough to know her.
Survived by her parents, John and Frances Woelk; and a loving family including her son, Jon Myles Woelk Blakely, Rozel; daughter, Allison Sue (Bradley) Woelk Blakely Myrick, Houston; Step-Son, Jerad Blakely, Nevada; Step-Daughter, Brandie Lincoln, Nevada; four sisters, Blenda Grossenbacher, Topeka, Teresa (John) Bilbrey, Mechanicsburg, PA, Cyndy (Scott) Fulhage, Beloit, Serena (Barry) Steffen, Overland Park and numerous nieces and nephews, Kim's influence reached far and wide.
