Pawnee Rock – Ladine Peterson, 95, passed away October 29, 2014 at the Woodhaven Care Center, Ellinwood.

She was born April 2, 1919, in Bison, she was the daughter of Everett and Frances Bitter Edwards. A lifetime area resident of Rush and Pawnee County, she began her career as a teacher and retired from the ASCS office in Larned.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Larned and played the piano for the Methodist Church in Albert and Pawnee Rock. She raised Persian cats and took them too many shows and she also loved flowers.

On April 3, 1941, she married Loraine Edwin Peterson in Bison. He passed away January 20, 1995.

Survivors include: a daughter, Lark Peterson, Pawnee Rock; three brothers, Zane and Bert Edwards, Bison and Forrest Edwards, Indiana; two sisters, Ruth "Susie" Krug, La Crosse and Holly Brack, Texas; two grandchildren; three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two daughters, Debora Daubert and Candice Peterson; three brothers, Robert "Bob", Tom and Everett "Peck" Edwards and four sisters, Lois Edwards, Hazel Stump, Minetta "Mickey" Smith and Alma Edwards.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Beckwith Mortuary, Larned, with Pastor Darryl Peterson presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at Beckwith Mortuary. Burial will be in the Larned Cemetery, Larned.
