Pawnee Rock – Laura Jean Miller, 86, passed away October 9, 2014, at her home in Pawnee Rock.
She was born June 19, 1928, in Salt Lake City, Utah, the daughter of Horace B. and Laura Crawford Rogers. She was a homemaker.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Great Bend and the Moose Lodge.
On April 28, 1992, she married Edward W. Miller in Littleton, Colorado. He passed away November 27, 2008.
Survivors include: two sons, Howard Hayward and wife, Dora, Pawnee Rock; Michael Hayward, Washington, Utah; four daughters, Linda Hill, Clinton, Missouri; Deborah Lovelace and husband Barry, Joshua, Texas; Donna Jacklin and husband Milton, and Ada Farnsworth and husband La Raine, both of Central, Utah; a step-daughter, Maureen Armstrong, Plymouth, Michigan; a brother in-law, Robert Miller; twenty-four grandchildren; forty-five great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Melvin and George Rogers and four sisters, Barbara Weston, Donna Johnson, Margaret Tyler and Ann Rogers.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, October 18, 2014, at Beckwith Mortuary, Larned with Bishop Benjamin Bates presiding. Visitation will be from 9a.m. to 8p.m. Thursday and Friday at the Mortuary. Burial will be in the Larned Cemetery, Larned.
