Laurel H. George's Obituary
Larned - Laurel H. George, 80, died January 10, 2006 at his home, Larned.
He was born November 24, 1925 in Great Bend, the son of Herman Henry Dick and Hilda Anna Christena Tammen George. A Larned resident since 1959 moving from rural Albert, he was a retired carpenter.
He was a member of the Peace Lutheran Church, Albert.
On October 25, 1950 he married Betty Jean Unruh at Albert, Kansas. She died March 29, 1993.
Survivors include: a son, Johnny George, Wichita, a daughter, Cindy Howell, Larned, a brother, LoRay, Albert, a sister, Irene Nagel, Larned, five grandchildren and two great –grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by; two brothers, Lloyd, LaVern and a half-brother, Wayne Peterson, a sister, Irma Ell and a half-sister, Debra Rose Peterson.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Beckwith Mortuary Chapel, Larned, with the Pastor Robert Kreier presiding. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Beckwith Mortuary Chapel. Burial will be in the Peace Lutheran Cemetery, Albert.
