Larned - Lawrence Eugene Campbell, 82, passed away November 24, 2017 at Diversicare of Larned.
He was born November 29, 1934 in Larned the son of Lawrence Edward and Alice Marie Phillips Campbell. A lifetime area resident; he was the Administrative Assistant and lived at Beckwith Mortuary for forty-four years.
He was a member of the Larned United Methodist Church, Ash Valley Grange. He was part of a quartet at Hutchinson Community College from 1953 - 1955 where he sang in the movie Picnic; he also sang in the church choir, and 1,778 funerals from 1958 – 2002.
Survivors include his two sisters, Carolyn Duncan, Larned and Marie Post, Spearfish, South Dakota.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Marvin Campbell.
Funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Beckwith Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Bethann Black presiding. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at the mortuary. Interment will be in the Pawnee Rock Cemetery, Pawnee Rock, Kansas.
