Lawrence Leroy Halling's Obituary
Hanston - Lawrence LeRoy Halling, 81, died, July 30, 2008 at the Hodgeman County Health Center, Jetmore.
He was born March 27, 1927 in Hanston, the son of Albert John and Elizabeth Hubin Halling. He was retired from the Hodgeman County Road Department and the Dodge City COOP at Hanston.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church, Hanston.
On August 16, 1946 he married JoAnn Marie Unruh at Rozel. She survives.
Other survivors include: a son, Dale G. Halling; a daughter, Wanda K. Wagnon, both of Great Bend; a brother, Robert, Jetmore; nine grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Alvin Jack, Frank, Harold; three sisters, Ella Cooksey, Freda Yust, Mabel Howe; and a great grandson Judson Beck Hart.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the United Methodist Church, Hanston, with the Reverend Marvin Ewertt presiding. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m Saturday and 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at the Beckwith Funeral Home, Jetmore. Burial will be in the Mennonite Cemetery, Hanston.
