LARNED – Lawrence Schneck Jr, 83, died January 3, 2014, in Wichita, KS. He was born October 7, 1930, in Larned, Kansas to Lawrence I. and Lydia Schultz Schneck.
He married Janice H. Younkin August 18, 1949. She predeceased him in 2012. Survivors include: two sons, David Schneck and wife Julie of Bettendorf, IA. and Gary Schneck and wife Patrice of Borger, TX.; a daughter, Cheryl Daniels and husband Robert of Wichita, KS; and ten grandchildren, Eric, Michael and Christopher Schneck, Dr R Thomas and John Weaver, Melissa Daniels, Rene' Butcher, Cara Hendricks, Jason and Garrett Pool; and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was a former longtime member of the Larned United Methodist Church, and a proud farmer for more than 40 years. Memorial service will be held Saturday, January 18th, 2014 at 10:30a.m. at the First United Methodist Church, Larned, KS with Rev. Bethann Black presiding. Friends may sign the register book Friday January 17th from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Beckwith Mortuary, Larned. Cremation has taken place.
