Leo Schinstock, 66, died November 4, 2011, at Pawnee Valley Community Hospital, Larned.
He was born November 2, 1945, at Great Bend, the son of Joseph and Edna Countryman Schinstock. A lifetime area resident, he was an Entrepreneur.
He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Larned, was a 4-H leader, A Township Trustee, a member of the American Ag Movement and the OK Horse Show Association.
On June 11, 1977 he married Mary Ellen Gillespie at Kinsley. She survives.
Other survivors include; a son, Dwight Schinstock, Independence, four daughters; Lezlie Morris and husband Mark, Pella, Iowa, Annette Schinstock, Cherryvale, Tina Strickland and husband Tim, Larned, and Deitra Blevins and husband Bert, Kinsley, two brothers; Donald, Nickerson and Melvin, Kinsley, a sister; Pat Barrett, Larned, twelve grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by; a brother, Harold.
Funeral Mass will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Larned with Father Warren Stecklein presiding. Vigil Service will be 7:00 p.m. Monday at the Beckwith Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be 1 – 8 p.m. Sunday and 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday at the Mortuary, Larned. Burial will be in the St. Nicholas Cemetery, Kinsley.
