Jetmore -Leon M. Hill, 89, died March 15, 2007, at Hodgeman County Long Term Care Center, Jetmore.
He was born April 20, 1917, in Springview, Nebraska, the son of Milton R. and Mary F. Sanders Hill. A resident of Cheyenne Wyoming since 1943, moving to Jetmore in 2006, he was a Greyhound Bus Driver for 37 years.
He was a member of the North Christian Church, Cheyenne, Wyoming.
On December 29, 1953, he married Elsa M. Smith at Julesburg, Colorado. She died March 27, 2006.
Survivors include: a daughter, Theoda Huish; a son, Leon M. Hill Jr. Lincoln Nebraska; three stepdaughters, Diana Bale, Cheyenne, Wyoming, Karen Marcum, Westminster, Colorado, Peggy Nieto, Berthoud, Colorado; two stepsons, William Bale, Longville, Louisiana, Ronald Bale, Ogallala, Nebraska; three sisters, Elma Briggs, Dodge City, Gladys Diehl, Cottonwood Falls, Kansas, Olivia Rylant, Fresno, California; nineteen grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert, Raymond and Russell Hill.
Funeral will be at 4p.m. Monday at Flinthills Community Church, Cottonwood Falls, Kansas, with Pastor David Gass presiding. Visitation will be from 9a.m. to 8p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Beckwith Funeral Home, Jetmore. Burial will be in the Bazaar Cemetery, Bazaar, Kansas.
