Leontine "Tina" Hemken, 93,died June 21, 2009 at Larned Healthcare Center.
She was born Aug. 8, 1915 in Rush County, the daughter of Anton and Martha Schoendaller Kreutzer. A lifetime Rush Co. and Pawnee Co. resident. She was a homemaker.
She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the Best in the west and the Altar Society, all of Larned.
On May 7, 1940 she married Lloyd Fox, he died June 16, 1981. On April 29, 1995 she married Edwin Carl Hemken, he died August 16, 2003.
Survivors include; three sisters; Matilda Miller, LaCrosse, Beatrice Kohl, California and Clarinda Campbell, Lufkin, Texas.
She was preceded in death by; two brothers, Albinius Kreutzer and Raymond Kreutzer and five sisters; Victoria Birzer, Eleanor Shinogle, Mary Katherine Kreutzer, Louise Herman and Odilla Laster.
Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Bernard Felix officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at the Beckwith Mortuary Chapel. Burial will be in the Larned Cemetery.
Memorials may be sent to the American Heart Association, in care of the Beckwith Mortuary, P.O. Box 477, Larned, KS 67550.
