Obituary

Jetmore – Lewis (Pete) Lester Ward, 82, died April 23, 2007 at the Hodgeman County Health Center, Jetmore.

He was born June 20, 1924 in Pueblo, Colorado, the son of Lewis R. and Anne A. Kennedy Ward. A long time area resident, he was a Carpenter.

He was a member of the Church of Christ, Dodge City. He also loved to Bowl & Horseshoe pitching

On July 23, 1945 he married Lelia Mae Housman at Jetmore, she survives.

Other Survivors include: one son Richard, & wife Patricia Wichita; two daughters, Dixie Tieben, & husband Benny Dodge City, Aloaha Voth, & husband Chuck Wichita; seven grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by five brothers, Carlyle, Cylde, William, David, Johnny, and three sisters, Ellis Lindsey, Laura Gattson, Edith West.

Graveside service will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at Fairmount Cemetery with Minister Kirk Castleman, presiding; friends may call from 9:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Wednesday at the Beckwith Funeral Home, Jetmore. Burial will in the Fairmount Cemetery, Jetmore.
