Lloyd C. Phillips, 90, passed away January 14, 2025 at his home in Larned.

He was born January 20, 1934 in Hutchinson, the son of W.H. and Erma Lorene Stenzel Phillips.

He was a graduate of Great Bend High School and Kansas State University. He briefly put college on hold to volunteer for service during the Korean conflict. He served two years before returning to college. After graduating from K-State he moved to California and worked in water resources as a civil engineer until his retirement. He enjoyed flying and golf, and served for ten years on the Southern California Golf Association Rules Committee. He loved God, Country, and Family.

On August 2, 2009 he married Joann Battin at Bakersfield, California; she survives.

Other survivors include: two daughters, Sandra Phillips, Show Low, Arizona, Susan Phillips, Vincennse, Indiana; step-son, Austin (Carla) Battin, Larned; two step-daughters, Susan Battin, Radium, Sarah (Wendall) Wehmeier, Turpin, Oklahoma.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Cremation has taken place and a graveside service with military honors will be announced at a later date.
