Jetmore- Lois Elaine Winkler, 87, passed away June 14, 2015 at the Touchstone Living Center, Sioux City, Iowa.
She was born June 12, 1928 in Fort Worth, TX., the daughter of Loyce and Juanita Claybrook Mayfield. A lifetime area resident of Jetmore she was an Antique Dealer there and towards the later years of her life she moved to Alamo, TX.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church, the Eastern Star and President of the Hodgeman County PTA. She enjoyed singing in the United Methodist Church Choir for 25 years and directing JR. Choir for 6 years. She taught Sunday school and Vacation Bible School and loved to play Bridge and take care of her Grandkids.
In June of 1945 she married Howard Ihloff in San Antonio, TX. He passed away August 27, 1990, and then in September of 1992, she married Robert Winkler in Jetmore. He passed away December 4, 2013.
Survivors include: one son, Charles Ihloff and wife Ellen, Hays; one daughter, Carolyn Tarman and husband Joe, Jetmore; seven Grandchildren, fourteen Great Grandchildren and two Great Grandchildren on the way.
She was preceded in death by her son, Timothy Ihloff and Grandson, Joshua Tarman.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 6th, 2015 at the United Methodist Church, Jetmore with Pastor Dennis Fulton presiding. Friends may sign the register book from 1 pm to 8 pm Sunday at Beckwith Funeral Home, Jetmore.
