Jetmore  - Loren E. Ochs, 87, passed away August 25, 2023 at Hodgeman County Health Center, ISB, Jetmore.

He was born December 13, 1935 in Dodge City the son of Vernon and Nola E. Hill Ochs.  A lifetime area resident he was a Farmer/Rancher.

He was of the Christian faith and attended Grace Community Church, Dodge City; served in the United States Army, served on the Victory Electric Board and the Sunflower Electric Board.  He enjoyed playing cards, and going out to eat with friends.

On August 6, 1961 he married Beverly Kay Fagen in Jetmore. She survives.

Other survivors include; a son, Brad, Jetmore; a daughter, Carol (Jeff) Jarnagin, Holcomb, daughter-in-law, Stephanie Ochs, Jetmore; seven grandchildren, Jarvis Jarnagin, Jenna (Troy) Krehbiel, Jesse Jarnagin, Janae (Ryan) Falconer, Garrett (Kelsey) Ochs, Taylor (Caleb) Sheets and Gentry Ochs; eleven great grandchildren and three sister-in-laws, Joyce Ochs, Jetmore, Karen Ochs, Wichita and Julie Ochs, Jetmore.

He was preceded in death by; his parents, one son, Steve Ochs and three brothers, Charles, Marion and Alan Ochs.

Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at Grace Community Church, Dodge City with Rev. Kirk Larson presiding.  Family requests their friends and family to dress casual.  Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at Beckwith Funeral Home, Jetmore.  Burial with military graveside rites will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in the Fairmount Cemetery, Jetmore, Kansas.
