Larned – Loren "Tink" R. Parr, 64, died January 18, 2011 at the Hospice House of Reno County, Hutchinson.
He was born November 7, 1946 at Medicine Lodge, Kansas the son of Joe F. and Faye I. Wood Parr. A lifetime Larned, Macksville resident, he was former owner of Jim's Septic Tank and Parr Backhoe Service.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church, American Legion, Larned; Pleasant Valley Township Clerk; he was a Navy Veteran and served on the USS Monrovia.
On June 15, 1968 he married Linda Kay Kasselman at Larned.
Survivors include: his wife, Larned; a son, Shane L. Parr and wife Stacy, Larned; a daughter, Jennifer L. Cross, and husband Tim, Solomon, Kansas; three brothers, Joe K., Macksville, John T., Whitebird, Idaho, Nick D., Bucklin; six grandchildren, Taylor, Kelsey, Cade Parr, Lauren, Shaelynn, Allison Cross.
A Memorial service will be at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, January 22, 2011 at the United Methodist Church, Larned with Pastor Bill Fitzgerrel presiding. Friends may sign the register from 9:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. Thursday and Friday at Beckwith Mortuary Chapel, Larned. Cremation has taken place.
