Obituary

Jetmore – Louis R. Beil, 81, passed away March 22, 2022 at Trinity Manor Nursing Home, Dodge City, KS.

He was born October 7, 1940 in Redding, CA, the son of Louis A. and Imogene Evans Beil.  A longtime area resident, he was a supervisor at Crustbuster for 42 years and was a lifelong farmer/rancher.

He was a member of Chester Hawkins American Legion Post #290, Jetmore, Masonic Lodge, Dodge City and he served in the United States Army. He loved all sports, but especially the Wildcats, Chiefs, Dodgers and the Lakers.

On August 16, 1966, he married Veldivia June Lauppe in Great Bend, KS.  She survives.

Other survivors include: two sons, Brian (Robin) Beil, Jetmore, Dale (Shirley) Vincent, Emporia, KS,; daughter, Robin (Erik) Beil Herrera, Poulsbo, WA; two sisters, Mary (Carl) Conley and Joan (Horst) Hillman, both of Clearwater, KS; nine grandchildren; three great grandchildren and his precious dog, Sadie.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Kenneth Beil; sister, Vinita Beil and a grandson, Brenton Lynn Beil.

Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 28, 2022 at United Presbyterian Church, Jetmore, with Rev. Mark Durham presiding.  Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, with family present from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Beckwith Funeral Home, Jetmore.  Burial will be in the Fairmount Cemetery, Jetmore with military graveside rites.
