Obituary

Hanston – Louise M. Ambrosier, 102, passed away June 28, 2018 at Hodgeman County Health Center, Jetmore, KS.

She was born December 27, 1915 in Hill City, KS, daughter of Sam and Edith Davison Thomas. She worked for many years at The Earl May Nursery in Shenandoah, Iowa. A longtime resident of Hanston, she was a homemaker.

Louise was a member of the First Baptist Church and belonged to the Senior Center and Library board and was President of both organizations for several years in Hanston, KS.

On June 18, 1936, she married Lee Ambrosier in Hill City, KS. He died August 5, 2004.

Survivors include: Son, Roger (Jeanne) Ambrosier, Evergreen, CO; one Grandchild, Karis Shearer (Jim), Denver, CO and three Great Grandchildren, Makayla Shearer, Lakewood, CO, Daniel Shearer, Denver, CO and Marlee Ambrosier, Lakewood, CO.

She was preceded in death by her three brothers, Gilbert, John, and Slim Thomas, a sister, Juanita Repshire, and grandson Aaron Ambrosier.

Visitation will be 2pm to 6pm Sunday at Beckwith Funeral Home, Jetmore and from 10am to 10:30am monday at the First Baptist Church of Hanston with the funeral service following at 10:30 a.m. Monday, with Pastor Rod McMillan presiding. Burial will be in the Fairmount Cemetery, Jetmore by Beckwith Funeral Home.
