Larned – Lucile G. Bauer, 85, died March 8, 2007 at the St. Joseph Memorial Hospital, Larned.
She was born June 6, 1921, in Hodgeman County, Kansas, the daughter of Neil L. and Mildred G. Crawford Rucker. A lifetime Burdett and Larned resident, she was a homemaker.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, where she was a nursery attendant, and a member of TOPS, all of Larned.
On July 27, 1941 she married Robert A. Bauer at Burdett. He survives.
Other survivors include: two sons, Ed, Burdett, Randy, Fairbury, Nebraska; two daughters, Barbara Kropp, Denver, Colorado, Connie Ellis, San Francisco, California; a brother, Clair Rucker, Sacramento, California; a sister, Eunice Settles, Independence; eight grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Marc Rucker, Maurice Rucker, and Clark Rucker and a sister, Phyllis Smith.
Funeral will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday at the First United Methodist Church, Larned, with Rev. Tim Ault-Duell presiding. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and Noon until 8 p.m. Sunday at the Beckwith Mortuary Chapel, Larned. Burial will be in Browns Grove Cemetery, Burdett.
