Rozel – Lucille K. Spreier, 92, died December 27, 2009 at Larned Healthcare Center, Larned.
She was born December 15, 1917 at Dawson Springs, Kentucky, the daughter of Verdie and Callie Young. A longtime Rozel resident, she was a homemaker.
On July 23, 1936 she married John Franz at Garden City. He died August 23, 1977. On January 3, 1979 she married Everett Spreier. He survives.
She was also preceded in death by: four brothers, Troy, Dick, Owen, Jack; and a sister Virginia Franz.
Other survivors include: a son Derryl and wife Merilyn, Independence, Oregon; a daughter, Shirley Patterson, Hutchinson; a brother, Leroy Young, Carthage, Missouri; two sisters, Margaret Foster, Marie Niblack, both of Lees Summit, Missouri; five grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Beckwith Mortuary Chapel, Larned, with Rev. John Hester presiding. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Wednesday all at the mortuary. The family will be present from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in the Larned Cemetery, Larned. Memorials may be sent to the Alzheimer's Association in care of Beckwith Mortuary, Inc. P. O. Box 477, Larned, KS 67550.
