Larned – LaDonna M. Kiewert, 72, died January 13, 2006 at St. Joseph Memorial Hospital, Larned.
She was born May 16, 1933, in Anthony, Kansas the daughter of Ernest H. & Carrie Doris Mumford Hedges. She was a retired caregiver for the Larned State Hospital and the St. Joseph – Respiratory Therapy.
She was a member of the Heritage Baptist Church, Great Bend and the VFW – Auxiliary of Larned.
She married Gilbert F. Selsor, and later married Burt "Sonny" Kiewert on March 25, 1983 in Larned. He died January 23, 2004.
Survivors include: a daughter, Nicki Roof, Pawnee Rock, a brother, Ernest G. Hedges, Topeka, a sister, Earleta Selm, Attica, and one grandson, Michael Roof, Olathe.
She was preceded in death by a grandson; Christopher Roof.
Memorial Service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, at the Beckwith Mortuary Chapel, Larned, with the Pastor Ken E. Gray and Sister Virginia Pearl presiding. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday and Monday at the Beckwith Mortuary Chapel. Cremation has taken place. Inurnment will be in the Larned Cemetery, Larned.
