Larned – Mable A. Robbins, 100, passed away February 25, 2017, at Pawnee Valley Community Hospital, Larned.
She was born September 18, 1916 in Dodge City, the daughter of William M. and Mabel Ann McConnell Williams. A longtime Pawnee County resident, she retired after 23 years with Duckwalls and Alco as a retail clerk.
On March 14, 1934, she married Jesse H. Bronson in Larned. He passed away July 19, 1963. On November 28, 1964, she married John W. Robbins in Larned. He passed away August 7, 1977.
Survivors include: Son, Wendell L. Bronson, Del Rio, TX; six granddaughters, Cheryl Asher, Leavenworth, KS, Marla Derstein, Lincoln, MO, Jeanette Field, Nickerson, KS, Deana Gisel, Lawrence, KS, Katherine Bush, Hutchinson, KS, Tina Marie Mohr, Grass Valley, CA; two grandsons, Delvin Lee Bronson, Del Rio, TX, Kevin Wayne Bronson, Wichita Falls, TX; numerous great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Donita Thomas; two brothers, William and Melvin; sister, Marian Wright; stepson, Lorraine "Bill" Robbins; a stepdaughter, Sandra Sue Ewing; two nieces, Terri Korf and Edith Traylor and a grandson David Bush.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at the Larned Cemetery, Larned, with Rev. Bethann Black presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at Beckwith mortuary, Larned.
