Jetmore- Margaret M. (Golly) Sinclair, 90, passed away September 9, 2016 at Hodgeman County Health Center, Jetmore, KS.
She was born June 10, 1926 in Levant, KS, the daughter of Joseph John and Justina Bruenn Golemboski. A longtime area resident, she graduated from Halstead Nursing School and was a registered nurse at Hodgeman County Health Center for 30 years and a surgical nurse for many of those years.
She was a member of the St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Altar Society, Happy Hour Club,was a 4-H leader for the Jolly Jayhawkers and belonged to the Chester Hawkins Post #290 American Legion Auxiliary, where she served as president for several years, all of Jetmore. She was a volunteer for the American Cancer Society, the American Heart Association, was very active in the Jetmore Senior Center and was a very accomplished quilter.
On November 8, 1948, she married Donald D. Sinclair at Oberlin, Kansas. He passed away December 12, 2013.
Survivors include: three sons, David (Dottie) Sinclair, Owensboro, KY, Robert (Julie) Sinclair, Salida, CO, Kent Sinclair, Wright, KS; a brother, Joseph Golemboski, Tulsa, OK; two sisters, Dorothy Beckman, Wichita, Betty (Babe) Sherlock, St. Francis, KS; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jean Sinclair Johnson; two brothers, Edward and Frank Golemboski; three sisters, Julia Thomas, Victoria Hume and Helen Ribordy.
Vigil will be at 7 p.m., Tuesday at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Jetmore. Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with Father Maurice Cummings presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday at Beckwith Funeral Home, Jetmore. Burial will be in the Fairmount Cemetery, Jetmore.
