Garfield - Maria Alejndra Gomez, 35, passed away April 9, 2016 at Pawnee Valley Community Hospital, Larned.
She was born June 8, 1980 in Escondido, California, the daughter of Vincent and Maria I. Elizondo Saavedra. Living in the area for 10 years, she was a homemaker.
She was of the Catholic faith, loved to dance and listen to music, loved to pray and talking to her mother on the phone, she was always joking around and playing with her beloved puppies.
She married Juan Gomez in Escondido, California. He survives.
Other survivors include; Sergio Saavedra, Larned and Jorge Saavedra, Wilsonville, Oregon; three sisters, Ileana Saavedra, Baja, California, Marcela Saavedra, Santa Barbara, California and Lupe Saavedra, Baja, California.
She was preceded in death by; her two grandmothers, Alejndra Pinto and Lupe Contreras.
Cremation has taken place and no services are planned at this time. Beckwith Mortuary, P.O. Box 477, Larned, KS 67550 is in charge of arrangements.
