Larned – Maria Hilda Phillips, 82, passed away June 20, 2017 in Larned, Kansas.
She was born May 20, 1935 in Durazno, Uruguay, the daughter of Maria Hilda Arriola. A longtime area resident, she was a CNA and CMA at the Larned State Hospital.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Great Bend, KS.
On May 4, 1960, she married Gerald LeClair Phillips in Salt Lake City, Utah. He died March 27, 2013.
Survivors include: two sons, Gerald B. (Ramona) Phillips and Mark D. Phillips, both of Larned; three daughters, Chrys Phillips, Larned, Queli (Jan) Phillips-Caddell, Salt Lake City, Utah, Vicki Kolbeck, Spearville; brother, Eduardo (Isabel) Norat, Utah; two sisters, Olga Glasset, Sandy, Utah, Charo (Enrique) Alvarez, Utah; eleven grandchildren, Blain, Matthew, John, Aaron, Veronica, Elisa, Kendra, Nicholas, Kenny, Ali and Travis; twenty eight great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a son, Andrew L. Phillips and a daughter-in-law, Cindy L. Phillips.
Celebration of Life will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 15, 2017 at Larned Cemetery, Larned, Kansas.
