Marie F. Hays' Obituary
Jetmore – Marie F. Hays, 94, died August 11, 2007, at Hodgeman County Long Term Care Center, Jetmore.
She was born August 10, 1913, in Kansas City, Mo., the daughter of Helena Riedl. A lifetime area resident, she was a homemaker, farmer, horsewoman and worked in restaurants.
She was a member of the St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Altar Society, Grandmas Club, Hodgeman County Extension Unit, all of Jetmore
She married Edward J. Zimmer, then on November 24, 1961, she married Luther B. Hays in Jetmore. He died February 25, 1988.
Survivors include: two daughters, Theresa Burns, Jetmore and Virginia Strong, Dighton. Eleven grandchildren, Ten great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Joseph Carl and John E. Zimmer.
Vigil will be at 7:00 p.m. Sunday at the St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Jetmore. Funeral Mass, will be at 11:00 Monday at the church with Father Ted Stoecklein presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 5:30p.m. Sunday at Beckwith Funeral Home. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery, Jetmore.
In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be sent to the Marie Hays Memorial in care of Beckwith Funeral home.
