Marilyn Kay Smith, 68, passed away May 13, 2020 at University of Kansas Health System Pawnee Valley Campus, Larned.

She was born April 28, 1952 in Emporia to Marvin and Helen Lary Wining.

A longtime area resident she was a homemaker and volunteered for the Pawnee Valley Community Hospital Auxiliary. She attended the Larned United Methodist Church.

On August 4, 1997 she married Ron Smith at Larned, he survives.

Other survivors include: daughter, Wendy (Miguel) Ibarra, Larned; son, Jim (Karen) Lewis, Larned; brother, Robert "Bobby" Wining, Wichita; five grandchildren, Macee Lewis, Jamie Lewis, Brandi Lewis, Selena Ibarra, and Carlos Ibarra, all of Larned; and two great grandchildren, Haevan and Hazel Peschka, both of Larned.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 18, 2020 at Beckwith Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Tricia North presiding. Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, May 17, 2020 at Beckwith Mortuary, Larned. Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 18, 2020 at Fairview Cemetery, Greensburg.
