Marjorie Katherine Rucker's Obituary
Burdett—Marjorie Katherine Rucker, 84, died April 18, 2008, at the Hays Medical Center, Hays.
She was born December 16, 1923, in Camden, Arkansas, the daughter of Robert and Katherine White Stinson. A longtime Burdett resident, she was a homemaker.
She was a member of the Burdett United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Shiley FCE, and American Legion auxiliary, all at Burdett.
On December 21, 1941, she married Marc Crawford Rucker at Offerle, Kansas. He died November 18, 1995.
She was preceded in death by a son Marc Duane, two sisters, Ann Riggs, Helen Griffin, and a brother, Bob Stinson.
Survivors include: three sons, Christopher, Olathe, Kansas, Robert, Palm Harbor, Florida, Craig, Burdett; four daughters, Patricia Cracchiola, St. Charles Missouri, Joyce Harvey, Wichita, Jacqueline Cloutman, Bemidji, Minnesota, Dorothy Wilson, LaCrosse; a sister, Janette Marcy, Wathena, Kansas; twenty-six grandchildren; and twenty-four great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 21, at the Burdett United Methodist Church, Burdett, with the Rev. Rich Zimmerman presiding. Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday with the family present from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Beckwith Mortuary Chapel, Larned, and noon to service time Monday at the Church, Burdett. Burial will be in the Browns Grove Cemetery, Burdett.
