Spearville- Marjorie D. Thurston, 91, died March 26, 2014, at Western Plains Medical Center, Dodge City.

She was born October 20, 1922, in Halfway, Wyoming, the daughter of Clure and Lola Johnson Smith. A Spearville resident for the past 13 years, moving from Thermopolis, Wyoming, she was a motel clerk.

She was of the Christian faith.

On January 15, 1943, she married John Thurston at Olympia, Washington. He passed away July 11, 1987.

Survivors include: two sisters, Jackie Naasz and Karen Hardy, both of Spearville; ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother Larry Beck and two sisters, Opal Baker and Violet Cosper.

Cremation has taken place and no services are planned at this time.
