Jetmore  - Mark Augustus Shriwise, 72, passed away September 27, 2024 at his home in Jetmore.

He was born November 23, 1951 in Dodge City; the son of Wayne Agustus and Joyce H. Barlotti Shriwise.

He was a member of the St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Jetmore and Knights of Columbus. He obtained training certificates for volunteer fireman and EMT. He graduated from Jetmore High School and Fort Hays State University with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Chemistry. After college he worked for Hodgeman County Noxious Weed Department, he was a Chemical Engineer for the Farmland Industries, Wright, KS for 20 years where he was a head chemist, was also a code compliance inspector for Ford County, Planning, Zoning and Environmental Health for 15+ years in Dodge City. After retiring he did consulting work for other health and safety programs in several counties.

Survivors include: brother, Brian Shriwise, San Marino, CA; two sisters, Susan (Charlie) Bibbs, Kansas City, MO, Pat (Lou) Mages, Thousand Oaks, CA; two nieces, Stephanie (Kevin) Hardy, Long Beach, CA, Danielle Mages-Amato, San Diego, CA; two grandnephews, Louis and Konrad Hardy, Long Beach, CA and two grandnieces, Annelise and Katherine Mages, San Diego, CA.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Joan E. Shriwise and a nephew, Phillip Mages.

Memorial Mass will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 15, 2025 at the St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Jetmore with Father John Forkuoh presiding. Rosary and Vigil will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, February 15, 2025 at the Church, Jetmore.  Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Friday with family present from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. February 14, 2025 at Beckwith Funeral Home, Jetmore. Inurnment will be in Fairmount Cemetery, Jetmore, Kansas.
