Larned – Martha (Marty) Buster, 64, died August 13, 2010 at the Stafford County Hospital, Stafford.
She was born October 20, 1945 at Ellsworth, the daughter of Forrest and Reba Crow Johnston. A Larned resident since 1972, moving from Fargo, North Dakota. She was an Activity Therapist at Larned State Hospital.
She was a member of the Presbyterian Church, Larned, Kansas; Kansas Alpha Kappa Master, Weavings Guild Club, Great Bend; Masters Adult Education – KSU; Human Ecology – KSU; a substitute teacher at Larned High School; Barton County Community College outreach programs; active in 4-H; and a charter member of After Prom Party Committee in Larned, Ks.
On April 8, 1968, she married David Buster at Denver, Colorado. He survives.
Survivors include: a son, James Arden (Heather), Overland Park, Kansas; daughters Rebecca Elizabeth Buster, Houston, Texas; and Jessica Jo Buster, Chicago, Illinois; and two grandchildren, Jacob and Avery Buster, Overland Park, Kansas.
Service will be at 10:30 A.M. Tuesday at the Beckwith Mortuary Chapel, Larned, with Rev. Dennis Scheibmeir presiding. Friends may call from 1:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Sunday, 9:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. Monday at the mortuary. Burial will be in the Larned Cemetery, Larned.
