Lewis – Mary Helen Cross, 85, died April 22, 2012, at Pratt Regional Medical Center, Pratt.
Mary Helen was born December 25, 1926, at Fellsburg, the daughter of LeRoy G. and Helen Hilts Gatterman. She was a lifetime area resident. She was a retired insurance agent for the Home State Bank and Lewis Insurance Service.
Mary Helen was a member of the United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, PEO Chapter CQ, all of Lewis and was an avid bridge player.
In August 2, 1949, she married Charles R. Cross at Lewis. He died August 23, 1954.
Survivors include: two sons, David Cross and wife Linda and Robert Cross, both of Lewis; four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Thoran D. Gatterman.
Funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the United Methodist Church, Lewis, with the Rev. Dennis Kuder presiding. Visitation will be from 9a.m. to 8p.m. Monday and Tuesday at Beckwith Mortuary, Larned. Burial will be in the Wayne Cemetery, Lewis.
