Mary Ann Gibbs' Obituary
Jetmore – Mary Ann Gibbs, 72, died October 30, 2011 at her home in Jetmore.
She was born March 1, 1939, at Ness County, Ks., the daughter of Harvey and Anna Sophia Klinge Hertel. A lifetime area resident, she was retired from the Hodgeman County Register of Deeds, Jetmore.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church, American Legion Auxiliary, Red Hat Society and a Card Club, all of Jetmore. She was also a member of the State of Kansas Register of Deeds.
On Oct. 10, 1969, she married Verne Jack Gibbs in Jetmore. He survives.
Other survivors include: two daughters, Jacquelyn Foos and husband Steve, Ness City, Sabrena Clinebell, Tyron, Nebraska; a son, Curtis Gibbs and wife Karol, Baytown, Texas; a brother, Dean Hertel, Jetmore; a sister, Linda Wickman, Colorado City, Colorado; Six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Brian Eric Gibbs.
Memorial service will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the United Presbyterian Church, Jetmore, with Rev. Mark Durham presiding. Inurnment will be at the Fairmount Cemetery, Jetmore. Friends may sign the book from 9a.m. to 8p.m. Monday at Beckwith Funeral Home, Jetmore.
Memorials may be sent to the Hodgeman County Health Center, Jetmore, in care of the funeral home.
