Jetmore - Mary Lou Sinclair, 91, passed away December 9, 2016 at Hodgeman County Health Center, Jetmore, Kansas.
She was born September 16, 1925 on the family farm south of Hanston; the daughter of Leland Clair and Maybelle Viola Avery Rumford. A lifetime area resident, she was a School Bus Driver for the Hodgeman County School System. She also worked at the Hodgeman County Health Center and owned and operated several businesses in the area.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Jetmore, was a member of the Sew and Sew club, the Southwest singles club and Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary. She loved playing cards, bingo, dancing and enjoyed being a senior companion.
On March 16, 1946 she married Harry Sinclair, he passed away October 11, 1979.
Survivors include; two sons, Danny Sinclair, Wakeeney and Steve Sinclair, Jetmore; a daughter, Grace (Norman) Ankrom, Dodge City; a daughter-in-law, Elaine Keesey; nine grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by; her parents; her husband; two sons, Richard Connell and Thomas Sinclair; a brother, Clair Rumford and a sister, Lois Ann Halling.
Funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at United Presbyterian Church, Jetmore with Rev. Mark Durham presiding. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday and 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at Beckwith Funeral Home, Jetmore. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery, Jetmore, Kansas.
