Mary Elizabeth Wiley,86,died July 16, 2010 at Hays Medical Center, Hays, Kansas.
She was born July 11, 1924 at Satanta, Kansas, the daughter of Juan and Carlota (Rincon) Contererez. A lifetime resident of Kinsley and Larned, she was a Retired CNA at Gleason Hospital, Larned.
She was a member of the St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Kinsley, enjoyed watching wrestling, crocheting, and spending time with her grandchildren.
On August 19, 1956 she married Robert Duane Wiley Sr. at Goodland, Kansas. He died November 4, 1974.
Survivors include: a son Ronald Wiley, Kinsley; ten grandchildren, Rebecca Scripsick, Larned, Angela Baker, Hutchinson, Heather Rector, Kinsley, Monica Rector, Hutchinson, Jessica Rector, Belpre, Lindsey Fowler, Great Bend, Meghan Wiley, Justin Wiley, both of Larned, Skyler Wiley, Great Bend, Veronica Masse, Great Bend; and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Robert Jr.; a daughter, Luella Diane Wiley; and three brothers, George Perez and John Rincon Jose Contererez Sr.; and a sister Nelly Contererez.
Funeral will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 23, 2010 at the Beckwith Mortuary Chapel, Larned, with Rev. Hal Staats presiding. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at the mortuary. Burial will be in the Larned Cemetery, Larned, Kansas.
