Hanston – Mary Frances Worley, 82, died December 25, 2009, at the Hodgeman County Health Center, Jetmore.
She was born January 5, 1927 in Hodgeman County, the daughter of Clarence Elmer and Lelia Ruth Ruff Salmans. She was a longtime resident, as well as a homemaker.
She belonged to the First Baptist Church, V.F.W. Women's Auxiliary, Senior Center, all of Hanston, Order of the Eastern Star, Ness City,
On April 8, 1946, she married Maurice Worley in Minneola. He survives.
Other survivors include: three sons, Eugene Edward, Grand Junction, Colorado, Richard Levi, Cheyenne, Wyoming, Paul Douglas, Sykesville, Maryland; one daughter, Justine Frances Bartlett, Greeley, Colorado; one sister, Ivy Mae Webster, Great Bend; two stepsisters, Arlene James, Monticello, Arkansas, Grace Brooks, Wichita; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Fern Lucille Ross; a brother, Elmer Walter Salmans; a stepsister, Anna Mae Andrews; a stepbrother, Jay Donald Andrews.
Funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, at the First Baptist Church, Hanston, with Rev. Carl Vincent presiding. Friends may call from 9a.m. to 8p.m.Monday and Tuesday at Beckwith Funeral Home, Jetmore. Burial will be in the Hanston Cemetery, Hanston.
