Jetmore- P. Maureen Hammond, 67, passed away Sunday, March 15, 2015 at the Comanche Medical Clinic, Coldwater, KS.
She was born May 18, 1947 in Dodge City, Kansas, the daughter of Maurice and Delores Scothorn Craghead, she was a housewife and worked and volunteered in craft shops.
She was of the Christian faith. She also was an artist and loved anything that was crafty.
She married John Wayne Hammond in Nevada. He passed away in 2012.
Survivors include: her father, Maurice Craghead, Dodge City; two sons, Darin Young, Colorado and Michael Scothorn, Great Bend; a daughter, Kimberly Nance, St. Lucie, Florida; brother, Jesse Craghead, Jetmore; sister, Linda Terry, California; Eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Delores Craghead and a brother, Dennis Craghead.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Beckwith Funeral Home, Jetmore, with Kyle L. Beckwith presiding. Inurnment will be held at the Fairmount Cemetery, Jetmore.
Memorials may be sent to the Maureen Hammond Memorial Fund in care of Beckwith Funeral Home, Box 663 Jetmore, KS 67854.
