Hanston - Maurice J. Worley, 85, died May 11, 2010, at Cheyenne, Wyoming.
He was born May 14, 1924, in Hodgeman County, the son of Chester and Hermie Goller Worley. A lifetime area resident, he was a municipality finance officer.
He belonged to the First Baptist Church, Veterans of Foreign War, and Senior Center, of Hanston. AFAM, Starlight Chapter 84, OES, of Ness City. Mason, York Rite Mason, of Dodge City. Kansas Priory 33 and KYCH.
On April 8, 1946 he married Mary Salmans in Minneola. She died December 25, 2009.
Survivors include: three sons, Eugene, Grand Junction, Colorado, Richard, Cheyenne Wyoming, and Paul Sykesville, Maryland; one daughter, Justine Bartlett, Greeley, Colorado; one sister, Joy Salmans, Newton; 8 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Claude and James; one sister, Julia Worley.
Memorial service at 10:30 A.M. Monday June 28,at the First Baptist Church, Hanston, with the Rev Carl Vincent presiding. Inurnment will be in the Hanston Cemetery. Beckwith Funeral Home, in care of arrangements Jetmore.
Memorails may be sent to the Camp Christy or VFW National Home for Children, in care of the Funeral Home.
