Maxine K. Herman, passed away peacefully December 12, 2024, at the age of 90, daughter of late Joseph Hammeke and Katherine Schwamborn; dear mother of Chris (Jeanne Martin), Andrea (Gerald Dapkus), Eric (Donna Hennessy), and Jennifer (Dan Cook); wonderful grandma of Sarah, Paul, Elizabeth "Elsie", Nathan and Roman; great-grandma of Leo, Margaret "Greta", Benedict, Matilda, Rory, Finley and Iris; sister to late siblings of Melvin, Leroy, Inez, Mary Ellen, Margaret, Rita, and James; aunt to many nieces and nephews; friend to all. Maxine was born in Larned, Kansas and formerly married to the late William J. Herman, the father of her children and a military officer in the Air Force. Maxine worked in the healthcare field at Patton State Hospital in California and Larned State Hospital in Kansas. She volunteered at several organizations. Her smile and wit will be missed.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 11, 2025 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Larned with Father Patrick Otor, MSP presiding. Inurnment will be in Larned Cemetery.
