Larned - Luella Maxine Murray, 96, died March 27, 2010 at Central Kansas Medical Center, Great Bend, Kansas.
She was born April 19, 1913 at Gentry, Arkansas, the daughter of Ples and Amanda Brown Givens. A resident of Larned for over 70 years, she was a homemaker.
She attended the First Christian Church, Larned and was an avid bingo player.
On May 13, 1933, she married Charles Kenneth Murray at Rozel, Kansas. He died January 1, 1979.
Survivors include: four daughters, Barbara Root and husband Simon, Lyons, Beverly Cornelison, Larned, Bonnie Russell and husband Clinton, Belpre, Betty Gardner, Hoisington; sixteen grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, 3 step-great grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren and four step great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son Gary,three brothers, Earl, Elmer, Fred; three sisters, Emma Barbour, Lola McCullough, Gladys Sieker; one grandchild and two grandchildren.
Funeral will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at the Beckwith Mortuary Chapel, Larned, with Pastor Dan Lundgren presiding. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday and Tuesday with family present Tuesday from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at the mortuary. Burial will be in the Larned Cemetery.
