Wichita – Melinda "Mindy" Lucia Garcia, 45, passed away December 3, 2025 at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita.

She was born May 16, 1980 in Great Bend, the daughter of Frank Arias and Linda Marie Perez Garcia.

Mindy grew up in Larned and lived in various locations, including South Carolina, before moving to Wichita. She was a CNA and nail technician. She loved drawing, listening to music, watching movies, scrolling on social media, and chatting on the phone with her friends and family.

Survivors include: her mother, Linda Garcia, Wichita; three children, Damian Garcia, Wichita, Kesha Garcia, Emporia, and Cordell Hammeke, Larned; sister, Melissa (Mario) Cortez, Wichita; brother, Henry (Melanie Castaneda) Garcia, Lewis; two grandchildren, Mune Garcia and Rylan Garcia; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Frank Garcia.

Rosary service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 12, 2025 at Beckwith Mortuary, Larned, a memorial service will follow at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Jarred Smith presiding.
