Hanston - Melvin H. Klinge went to be with Jesus on June 25th, 2019 in Pittsburg, KS. He was born on September 1, 1935 in Hodgeman County Kansas to Harry and Pearl (Kline) Klinge.

Melvin spent most of his life in western Kansas. He ran harvest crews in his younger years and later owned Melvin Klinge Trucking until he moved to Alaska in 1978. He returned to Larned, KS in 1979 and resumed his passion of driving trucks.

Together with Charlene (Shaw) Klinge, they had four children: Wayne (Marty) Klinge of Holyoke, MA, Regina (Charles) Breitenbach of Kansas City, KS, Delvin (Brenda) Klinge of Pittsburg, KS and Lerina (Ron) Mason of Hurst, TX.

He will be remembered and deeply missed by his four children, 22 grandchildren and 39 great grandchildren; his sister, Darlene Howe of Wichita, KS, many friends and his sidekick Choc.

He has been reunited in Heaven with his parents, and siblings Bill Klinge and Thelma Madison.

A memorial graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2019 at 10 am at the Hanston Cemetery in Hanston, KS. Visitation will be on Friday, July 26, 2019 from 9am to 8pm at Beckwith Mortuary in Larned, KS with family present from 4pm to 7pm.
