Michael P. Bartz, 45, died July 10, 2013, at Great Bend Regional Hospital, Great Bend.
He was born July 10, 1968 in Columbus, Nebraska, the son of Melvin and Carol Walsh Bartz. He was the owner of Bartz Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning.
He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He coached Larned Jr. Football along with wrestling, baseball, soccer and Sacred Heart basketball. He was also a chairman for the Buildings and Trades board for the City of Larned.
On April 20, 1991 he married Sandra Ashley in Larned. She survives.
Other survivors include: three sons, Jeromy, Brandon and Trevor Bartz, all of the home; mother, Carol Bartz-Eaton, Salina; four brothers, Rodney, Wichita, Randy, Salina, Arlan, Vero Beach, Florida, Jeff, Olathe and three sisters, Karla Bartz, Salina, Theresa Medina, Larned and Angela Lyon, Salina.
He was preceded in death by his father, Melvin Bartz and a brother, Joey Bartz
Vigil service will be at 7 p.m. Friday at Beckwith Mortuary, Larned. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Larned, with Father Warren Stecklein presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday at Beckwith Mortuary, Larned. Burial will be at the Larned Cemetery, Larned.
Memorials may be sent to the Bartz Children Educational Fund in care of Beckwith Mortuary, Box 477 Larned, Ks 67550.
