Obituary

Jetmore - Michael Lee Walter, 57, died October 16, 2010 at the Golden Living Center in Valley, Nebraska.

He was born April 8, 1953 in Jetmore the son of Thomas and Norma Lee Schawe Walter, He was a farmer, rancher, artist and craftsman. He graduated from Jetmore High School and Fort Hays State University.

He was a member of the St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Council #3218.

Survivors include: one son John Walter, Manhattan; one daughter, Emily Walter, Garden City; three sisters, Connie Driscoll Brookeland, Texas; Judi St. Romain, Centennial, Colorado; Lisa Vehle, Omaha, Nebraska. Seven nieces & nephews and 2 great nephews.

Vigil service will be at 7p.m. Tuesday at the St. Lawrence Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Church, with Father Benjamin Dande presiding. Friends may call from Noon to 5:00 p.m. Tuesday at Beckwith Funeral Home, Jetmore. Burial will be in the Fairmount Cemetery, Jetmore.
