Obituary

Mildred May Bohannon, 86, died December 6, 2013 at the Homestead Health and Rehab in Garden City.

She was born June 16, 1927 in Neodesha. The daughter of Earl and Ethel Fender McDonald: a resident of Larned since September 1999, moving from Neodesha where she lived for 21 years; she was a homemaker.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Larned. She attended Neodesha schools, was the owner of Mildred's Café in Rock, Kansas and she loved to quilt and bake.

On April 29, 1950 she married Daniel Bohannon Sr. in Enid, Oklahoma. He passed away June 18, 1978.

Survivors include; a son Daniel Jr. and wife Debbie, Garden City; a daughter, Judy Smith and husband Stan, Larned; two brothers, Frank McDonald, Neodesha, Louis McDonald, Larned; eight grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and six great great-grandchildren.

Graveside service will be 9:00 a.m. Monday at the Larned Cemetery with Rev. Bethann Black presiding. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday and 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at the Beckwith Mortuary, Larned. Burial will be in the Larned Cemetery.
