Jetmore – Mildred L. Litzenberger, 90, died September 19, 2006 at the Manor of the Plains, Dodge City.
She was born May 23, 1916 at Kingsdown, Kansas. The daughter of Lawson & Nelle Lee Buckley Clevenger. She got her teaching degree from Emporia State Teacher College. She taught English in the Jetmore and Bucklin Schools.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Order of Eastern Star, ESA Sorority all of Jetmore, and NEA.
On Aug 24, 1941 She married Wesley Litzenberger at Kingsdown, Kansas. He survives. Recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary.
Other Survivors include: Two sons, Gary, and wife Linda Kansas City, Mo.; Kyle and wife Wendy, Derby; three Daughters, Denise Ann Bamberger, Dodge City; Neila Whitt and husband Marshall Lees Summit, MO.; Jane Montgomery and husband Alan Montgomery, Manhattan, Two brothers, Orville Clevenger, Wichita; Loren Clevenger, Mission, TX.; one sister, Marjorie Marbourg, Shell Knob, MO.; 11 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by five brothers, Elwood, Russell, Norman, Cecil, Lawson. and a grandson Scott Litzenberger
Funeral will be at 10:30 A.M. Saturday at the United Methodist Church, Jetmore with the Rev. Mitch Reece presiding. Friends may call from 9:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. Thursday and Friday with the Family being present from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday at the Beckwith Funeral Home, Jetmore. Burial will be in the Fairmount Cemetery, Jetmore.
